Target Development Group and Hannover House Acquire Acclaimed Suspense-Thriller, "Sensored"

SPRINGDALE, AR--(Marketwire - 12/10/09) - Hannover House, the film and video releasing label for Target Development Group, Inc. (Pinksheets:TDGI - News) (Other:www.TargetDevelopmentGroup.com, www.HannoverHouse.com), has acquired the North American video rights to "Sensored," an acclaimed suspense thriller starring Robert Picardo ("Star Trek: Voyager," "Stargate Atlantis," "Stargate SGI").

The agreement was entered into between Target-Hannover House president Fred Shefte with Jo and Kevin Haskin, of KeJo Productions, LLC, an up-and-coming feature film production company headquartered in Sacramento, California.

In "Sensored," Robert Picardo plays Wade Nixon, a children's book author trying to keep his frayed mind from unraveling. Wade's battle with his own demons causes him to believe there is a conspiracy against him. Hanging in the balance is his legacy, and he'll stop at nothing to prove its reality. The line between mundane reality and horrific fantasy is skillfully blurred in this powerful film that Movie News described as "intense and intelligent... a top quality thriller that delivers the goods."

"Sensored" has generated enthusiastic audience reactions in sneak preview screenings, with research feedback meeting or exceeding results generated by the current, indie-cinema hit, "Paranormal Activity."

Legendary film director Joe Dante ("Gremlins," "Small Soldiers") provided insightful commentary about the film.

"The great Robert Picardo gets inside the mind of a madman in Ryan Todd's unexpected, riveting mindbender that plays like a horror film but ends up being so much more. A tour-de-force for one of my favorite actors, who at last gets to carry a picture. Sarah Knowlton is likewise memorable. Timely, thoughtful and altogether engrossing. One of the year's finest indies." -- Joe Dante.

The film was directed by Ryan Todd and produced by Kevin Haskin and Jo Haskin of KeJo Productions, LLC.

"Sensored" is not currently rated by the MPAA, but is expected to earn a "R" rating when reviewed by the Classifications and Ratings Administration. The film runs for 91 minutes and is in color and stereo. DVDs of "Sensored" will be priced at $19.95 suggested retail and Blu-Ray units will be priced at $24.95 suggested retail. The DVD UPC number is 7-6145073673-3 and the Blu-Ray UPC number is 7-6145003673-4. Hannover House and Target have set a video release date for Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

Trailer Storyboards

I just came across these old storyboards as I am going through old Sensored files and folders gathering materials that will be needed for distribution. Every distributor is different, but we wanted to get a head start on making sure we have things together like our publicity items (Still photos, press releases, TV spots, deleted scenes, posters, postcards, artwork, ect.), documentation items (Final shooting script, chain of title, credit block, ect.) cast and crew lists and the lists upon lists that continues on. I digressed. It is interesting to revisit these original storyboards from our first teaser we shot to help show investors our vision.  This was way back in 2007 and for those of you that have seen the film, you'll agree that many of the shots Ryan put in these storyboards, ended up in the final cut of the film.

These were created long before we knew we would be shooting on the RED camera, before we knew Robert Picardo would be Wade Mixon and before the excitement of having a finished film with great visuals, actors that brought it, original music and a 5.1 Dolby surround sound mix. It is fun to look back to the past, while dreaming of the future.

Auburn Journal Article

LOCAL FILM SNAGS SCI-FI STAR By Gus Thomson

Auburn-born independent film producer Jo Haskin has a big sci-fi name in tow for Friday, July 24’s premiere at Sacramento’s Crest Theatre of her Roseville production company’s new movie “Sensored.”

Actor Robert Picardo, a major player on “Star Trek Voyager” and “Stargate: Atlantis,” is the lead actor in a psychological thriller that KeJo Productions hopes to find a slot on cable TV.

Haskin and husband, Kevin, are giving new meaning to the word’s “in-house” with “Sensored.”

The Haskins not only serve as co-producers with Eric Mansur but Kevin wrote the screenplay about a children’s author struggling with reality.

And their house in Roseville turned into a mini-studio, with six different locations inside, including the couple’s four-car garage. In all, “Sensored” shot 19 days on the property.

The couple previously shot a short film in Auburn called “A Bullet Over Five” that made use of locations like the High Street Café.

Haskin grew up in Penryn and attended Del Oro High School. With 16-hour days and film lights squirreled away in her bedroom for the next day’s shoot, Haskin said she’s never brought her work home quite like the way she did for “Sensored.” It’s being screened at the 10th annual Sacramento Film and Music Festival.

The moviemaking couple is already working on a new film. The next one will be a drama and they’re moving toward hiring an Academy Award winner and an Academy Award nominee for acting roles.

Press Release hits the wire!

Sacramento, CA, July 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- KeJo Productions, LLC today announced the feature film, “Sensored,” starring Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis), will have a star-studded screening at the 10th Annual Sacramento Film and Music Festival on Friday, July 24th, 8:00PM at the Crest Theatre.

“Sensored” is a dramatic thriller, which captures the steady unraveling of a children’s book author’s twisted, lurid psyche. The film was shot entirely in Placer County and the City of Sacramento. “We could not have accomplished so much, without the strong community support from our hometown and the surrounding areas,” said Jo Haskin, Producer of Sensored.

“Every year we look for the best independent films from around the world as well as the most cutting-edge productions from our own community,” said Nathan Schemel, Festival Founder and Co-Director. “Finding a film like “Sensored” which is both of those things is an obvious fit for the Festival and natural pick to open our tenth season!” This gala opening night celebration begins with a 6:30 PM reception, catered by Rubio’s, followed by the film screening and an after-party at Cosmo Café with cast and crew.

The majority of the cast, including star, Robert Picardo, is expected to attend. More festival information is available now and tickets can be purchased online or at the Crest Theatre box office.

Finishing Touches!

We spent our 4th of July holiday in Hollywood finishing up the sound design and incorporating the music into our film. I continue to feel very lucky that the most talented people have given so much of themselves into this project. Marcus Zalewski, words cannot describe how excited we were to hear your sound design and how much fun we had working with you. The Dolby 5.1 rocked! You are a very talented guy and you truly made the sound another character. Thanks for hooking us up in the "big room."  You spoiled us, but made us realize that dreams do come true.

Alexis Grapsas, also thanks to you for again working on additional music in a very short timeframe. The composition is so strong and really sets up the audience to brace themselves or take a breath.  It was great to finally meet the Composer that was hired from Craigslist and that had risen to top of over 150 resumes and demos.

The Title of this post is "Titles".

We would like to introduce Nick Trivundza to our Sensored fans. Do we have any fans?It looks like we may have a few and some from as far away as China, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Austria, India, Italy and many more. Regardless, Nick has done one amazing job on the opening title credits. You may view on his website here. It may take a few minutes to download, but wait until it finishes before playing. It will be worth the wait! Nick was able to take the main character's career as a children's book author and incorporate it into the opening credits. Brilliant!
